Omnichain Recognized on Supply & Demand Chain Executive’s Top 100 Supply Chain Projects List for 2019

Omnichain Solutions (Omnichain), an enterprise focused on supply chain management solutions powered by Blockchain, announces it has been named to Supply & Demand Chain Executive’s 2019 SDCE 100 Top Supply Chain Projects list. The annual awards program showcases projects that exemplify supply chain excellence and serve as a map for executives who are looking for new opportunities to drive improvement in their own operations. Omnichain was recognized for helping frozen treat brand Ruby Rocketsimprove food safety management as well as its ability to trace and monitor a product’s lifecycle from end to end using Blockchain.

“Every year our list of submissions for the SDCE 100 continues to grow as more companies rely on the expertise of supply management for innovative decision-making. Our winners raise the bar for what is achievable in the supply chain,” says John R. Yuva, editor for Supply & Demand Chain Executive. “With a variety of company sizes and industry sectors represented, our Top 100 are leading examples for how to approach and solve supply chain challenges. Congratulations to our 2019 winners and the projects that delivered greater operational efficiencies and bottom-line results across the supply chain.”

As part of a commitment to providing healthy, trustworthy products for kids and families, Ruby Rockets uses only natural and organic ingredients. However, with its previous enterprise resource planning (ERP) system, tracing a product’s history involved a complicated trail of spreadsheets, certificates of analysis, and other disparate systems. Looking for a more transparent and efficient view into its supply chain, Ruby Rockets turned to Omnichain. In under 90 days, Omnichain was able to integrate its Blockchain-as-a-Service platform with Ruby Rockets’ accounting system, purchase orders, inventory management system and online shop, thereby connecting its supply chain with a permanent, immutable record of all product movements from “farm to finger.”

Using the Omnichain platform, Ruby Rockets now has:

  • Complete traceability so it can quickly determine a product’s origins and facilitate food safety management.
  • The ability to communicate this level of traceability and instill greater trust in their products to consumers.
  • Real-time data between the production and consumer level, so the company can monitor inventory and sales for proactive demand forecasting and replenishment.

Pratik Soni, co-founder and CEO, Omnichain, said, “We are honored to be named to the 2019 SDCE 100 list for our work with Ruby Rockets. As more consumers gravitate towards natural and organic products, the need for traceability and transparency into a product’s provenance will only continue to grow. We are proud of the fact that our platform helps companies like Ruby Rockets uphold such commitments and ensure only safe, dependable products reach store shelves and consumers.”
